Art Clay is a brand of precious metal clay (of which PMC is another) and is a popular material for jewellery artists, designers and everyday beaders to create their own unique beads, pendants and findings very easily without huge set-up costs or specialist tools & equipment.
1) You work the silver clay or precious metal clay, depending on who you speak to, like polymer clay and you can stamp it, roll it, press it into moulds or sculpt it.
2) Once you have finished your design you then fire it with either a kiln, gas torch or gas hob. Once fired the clay binder burns away leaving 99.9% silver. Your piece of work will shrink 8 to 9%.
3) Then to finish the piece you need to sandpaper and polish with a cloth to a high mirror finish.

Art Clay - Clay.

We sell the Art Clay in three pack sizes listed below. The clay is used to make beads, pendants, spacers, findings - pretty much anything you like. You work the clay using hands, tools or moulds until you are happy with the finished creation, remember that your item will shrink by 8 or 9%!

Art Clay - Paste.

Art Clay Silver Paste is used to 'glue' pieces of silver clay together, whether the clay pieces are wet or dry. The paste can also be used as a filler for cracks (if you allow the clay to dry to much) or any unintentional marks and blemishes. Another use of the paste is to coat a burnable core like a leaf before drying and firing to create a perfect detailed replica.

Art Clay - Syringe.

The Art Clay 650 Silver Clay in this syringe is used to add detail to your designs. Used to decorate or write on to your silver clay piece, this syringe with the right tip can give you very fine control over the detail you may wish to add to your project. We stock the 5g filled and 10g filled syringes without any tips and a 10g Syringe which comes with 3 re-useable tips. Store the syringe in water when not in use to stop the tip from drying out.
